Panel of AI-powered health experts discussing innovations at Human+Tech Week conference, with a diverse audience engaged in the session.

Human Tech Week Left Me Inspired… and Deeply Reflective

I had an AMAZING experience attending Human Tech Week in San Francisco — a gathering of innovators, visionaries, researchers, and changemakers exploring how technology can truly serve humanity.

One of the highlights was meeting Nicole Bradford, the visionary producer behind the event, who has spent years pioneering transformational technology conferences that bring together leaders committed to using technology as a force for GOOD.

I was especially drawn to the HOPE Summit health track, where researchers, clinicians, and pioneers explored longevity, prevention, stress, sleep, relationships, mental wellbeing, and what it really means to thrive as human beings.

And yes… AI was everywhere.

One moment that deeply touched me was seeing pioneers like Dean Ornish still helping lead the conversation around holistic health and human flourishing after all these years.

But honestly, the biggest takeaway for me came outside the conference walls.

Inside the event:

Brilliant minds.
Innovation.
Funding.
Big ideas.
Solutions.
Hope for the future.

Outside on Market Street:

Homelessness.
Addiction.
Mental health struggles.
People simply trying to survive.

Person experiencing homelessness resting on a city sidewalk surrounded by belongings, pedestrians walking by.

The contrast hit me deeply.

Even my Uber driver said:

“No one is happy. People are struggling financially… and even those with success are struggling personally.”

That stayed with me.

Because technology alone is not enough.

We still need community.
Compassion.
Healing.
Human connection.

LOTS to reflect on from this journey.
